Our English language learning programs cater to a wide range of learners, from beginners to advanced speakers, each with distinct needs and goals. For beginners, programs often focus on foundational vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation, using interactive activities, basic reading, and listening exercises. For intermediate learners, courses typically aim to expand vocabulary, improve speaking fluency, and introduce more complex grammar and writing structures. Advanced programs often concentrate on refining language proficiency, including academic writing, advanced listening skills, and conversational nuances.

English Language Certificate Program Advanced Level (short)
- Do you have a minimum IELTS 6.0 or a Duolingo English Test score of 105?
- Do you have a conditional offer that requires you to meet the English proficiency requirements or do you want to improve your academic and language skills to succeed in university?
Then our 8-week summer English Language Certificate Program Advanced Level (short) may be the best for you. After you complete the program, you can start your undergraduate classes in the fall.
Integrated Admission Pathway
- Do you have a minimum of IELTS 5.5 or a Duolingo English Test score of 95?
- Do you have a conditional admission to a Bachelor of Arts , Bachelor of Bio Resource Management, Bachelor of Commerce (undeclared), Bachelor of Mathematics, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, or Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies?
Then you can enrol in our three-semester Integrated Admission Pathway program. Earn 2.5 credits in your major and meet your English language proficiency requirement. After the third semester in the summer, start your full time studies in the fall.
Guaranteed Admission Pathway
- Do you lack the English language proficiency requirement for U of G?
- Would you like to study a major in the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science programs?
- Have you not studied at a post-secondary institution before?
Then you are eligible for our ELP Guaranteed Admission Pathway program and can start from a beginner level.
English Language Certificate Program
- Do you lack the English language proficiency requirement for U of G?
- Do you have a conditional admission to an undergraduate program?
Then you are eligible to enrol in our English Language Certificate Program and can start from a high beginner level.
